Destigmatizing uncomfortable conversations
We all have implicit biases, but that doesn't mean we are bad people. At Lean In, the conversations we facilitate about bias and DEI are not centered on blame. In fact, these discussions should never result in shame or guilt. One of our major goals is to destigmatize these conversations. Destigmatizing these conversations removes a major barrier to discussion and most importantly, stimulates change.
This approach allows us to facilitate rich conversations about the hard stuff- The impact of implicit bias and poor equity across society and organizations. A necessary step to spark meaningful change.

“If we can separate the feelings of shame and guilt from these conversations, discussions become much more effective”
